As a baseball fan, this is the time of year when I try to help winter pass by counting down the number of days until "pitchers and catchers report." Alas, due to the MLB lockout I can't even do that.
We have a "snowy, icy mess" here in north Texas as described by one of our local weather guys. No need to go out, got groceries two days ago and catching up on laundry and folding clothes is enough to force me into several nap times today. Lows in the teens and single digit wind chills are not good for dog walking, which is still must do several times a day. As Joe Friday used to say "it's a glamourless, thankless job but it's gotta be done". At least we don't have power outages like we had last year for several days in early Feb. Bring on sunny south Florida, at least in my mind
