Partnership = good idea
I'd gladly give a few hundred to 1) make some contacts/friends in the game 2) have a vested interest other than a wager 3) support the game and 4) maybe, just maybe, win an allowance without losing the farm.
MisterB, you're kind of picking a bone with most people on this board because a lot of us have aspirations of ownership in the future but we're not financially capable of taking that leap yet. A partnership (especially under the closed end arrangement we have with Chuck) is an excellent opportunity for folks like us to participate in ownership and learn more than we otherwise could.
I think you take for granted the "burnout" that most first-time owners have when getting into the game because they deplete their resources before they know enough to even be "good" at it. So, based on this, why doesn't it make sense to throw a few hundred at a partnership rather than tens of thousands going out on your own to start???
