10/3: Belmont (6th-9th)
Got roughed up at Belmont thanks to impossibly fast and hard turf that is seeing frontrunners run on stunningly. Alexandros was 'moving like a winner' in the 6th but could not reel in pacesetting and eventual subject of photo from Ferraro. (Also have to wonder how Gomez might have ridden the Del Carroll trainee had he not been at North Shore Hospital after yanking back in spill earlier.) Nightcap winner was a runaway too and not on the P4 ticket, so a score wasn't forthcoming anyway...
At Santa Anita, the P6 was a modest $5000+ when the sextet turned chalky from the outset, which came as a surprise. Best tick yielded 4 of the 6. Not a great day by any means... Belmont glance below in advance of another big weekend starting with KEE opener tomorrow...
