G/L Cowgirl...and the rest of the Texans.
Yup it's going to be bad, very bad.
Things are so much better this time now that Blanco is gone and Jindal is Governor. If anyone gets left it's completely 10000% their own fault. They began assisted evacs this am, 700 buses rolling, amtrack, flight, contraflow begins tomorrow, Fema is here, Paulson is VERY GOOD, national guard deployed, Chertoff is here and Nagin is being told what to do by the State and Fed.
No matter where it hits they are much more prepared, already activated and ready to move.
We are on the bad side which will push water up the river, bayous and into the lake no matter where it lands, I'm sure the levees will fail again, but it seems almost everyone is leaving this time. No excuses this time about being poor, elderly or disabled.....the state, fed and local are doing their job this time all over the gulf coast..I think, I know for sure Louisiana and Mississippi. Hope it's the same in Texas as it is here
We'll know in about 24 more hours where it should hit, wherever it is it will be bad. We're staying put, generators ready, lots of fuel and food, worried about the tornados though.
Once again good luck to all in the gulf wherever you end up...and keep you eye on Hanna, that's following the Katrina/Rita path, back to back hurricanes possible.
Oh and Coach I think that will be 7+ for gas.....
