When you compare the orderly (tight and compact) pack in that race to what typically happens in a turf race in the U.S., where jockeys like Johnny V and Prado are consistently needlessly wide WITHOUT COVER, you get a sense of how clueless (or just plain dumbasses) American riders are when it comes to drafting.
Anyone who has cycled, and has experienced riding at the tail of a large group, can appreciate the garden trip this filly got in that race. And, while they repeatedly focused on her bad start in the video, it wasn't anything to get concerned about.
This is what racing should be like: sit a trip and sprint to the wire.
