On the plus side, Hey Smarty:

-- came out at the break, slamming the 5, who then pushed him significantly into the 3 (and slightly, the 2)

--- was widest on the turn and didn't change leads in the lane

On the negative side:

--- the winner was LEFTY THE ENTIRE RACE. That's right, even though the
winner had an inside trip and sat chilly on the turn while HS bid with the
1, he was on LEFT lead the whole race.

--- HS had terrible action in the lane

--- maiden 2 year old fillies ran FASTER (faster pace too) in the 8th race

Gotta wonder why this horse is 4:5.
