I don't care how well thought of the horse is. . . Nothing about his run backed up all the hype. Clearly your expectations prior to the race are clouding your ability to objectively evaluate his performance. The winner couldn't have accelerated away from AS any easier and, no matter how hard he tried to blow it for second, none of those horses were even good enough to clunk up and pass him.
Maybe whatever injuries he has struggled with came back to haunt him in the stretch, but that certainly doesn't bode well for his future.
