That can still be said after the fact - even though he finished 5th of 8 at Kip Deville won a total scramble.
If you were in a hopeless position - yeah, using Kip and not using DT would have been a somewhat rational move as that could have leapfrogged you in the money. From 3rd though, with differences against me, and the leader not using DT ... you merely did what any sane person would do.

Yeah, that's the part that gets me. If that dunce had used DT, I have no problem going with Kip instead.
It just made no sense that he didn't use DT!
In all the scenarios in my head leading up to the final day, not a one did I imagine him not using DT. I think that is why I was so flummoxed the night before.
