The triple crown lead-in was comedy unlike no other -- the triple crown series was comedy (first-time dirt wins the KY Derby, Shakleford the Preakness, Ruler on Ice the Belmont -- and Animal Kingdom was easily the star of that series)

The Haskell was so freaking slow -- that Quiet Giant ran a faster number on the card winning some garbage stake race. I think the Haskell got the 3rd highest Beyer of the days four route races ... only a cheap starter alw race was somehow slower than the Haskell among the routes.

Stay Thirsty was the only horse in the Travers who didn't run like a complete pig.

This group is almost as slow as the Sea Hero group from 1993.

The Breeders Cup Juveniles are being won with record or near record speed figures every year. Stevie Wonderboy's win was smoking fast, Street Sense's win was smoking fast, War Pass's win was smoking fast, Uncle Mo's win was smoking fast. Shame that only Street Sense held it together. All of them ran BC Juvie figures that would have drowned Arazi.
I'm not so convinced that he's the best 3yo router, but perhaps of the top ones, he is the soundest.

Also, as pathetic as the older horses are, I'm having trouble seeing Stay Thirsty beating the top ones that are in training, as of now.
