Papa Tom: Runner was 30-1 on the morning line here Saturday in same race as rail as an also; 4 for 15 dam didn't race at 2 or on grass; one of 2 siblings won; that runner, Katskill Bay, took 5 of 29, lost twice at 2, thrice on grass, banked over $160K; needs a 180-degree turn around.
Limani: Harlan's Holiday about 13% with first-time turf runners in a 166-runner sample; sire won 4 times at 2, won multiple Grade 1s, banked $3.6 million, never turfed; stakes placed 4 for 17 dam didn't race at 2, or on grass but banked over $200K; all 3 siblings each won once; one cashed at 2, all tried grass to no avail; could need sellers to show top talent.
American Buffalo: Runner was 5-2 second choice on the morning line here Saturday in same race as rail as an also; stakes placed 2 for 10 dam lost twice at 2, won on grass once, banked about $80K; both siblings won; both cashed on turf, one won at 2; top earner Midnight Mass was 2 for 13, earned $66K, both wins came on turf; can't fault those that give him another shot at glory.
My Pal of Pals: Colt took a little money on the stretch out, but just never kicked; dam out of the money in only try; all 3 sibs won; all ran at 2 to no avail; top earner Loyal Shadow won 5 of 33, all on grass, banked nearly $165K; at least he got a feel of the grass; still must hustle.
Hope Still Springs: Maybe he just wanted grass all along; the 10/14 show horse won here 11/16 at this level with a 63 Beyer; double Grade 3 winning dam didn't race at 2 or on grass but banked nearly $300K; 6 of 8 sibs won; none won at 2 but top kin Sabellina took 7 of 38, was grass only, banked over $500K; the one to deny.
Alarmed Ndangerous: Youngster finished okay, has every right to improve here; 3 for 7 dam didn't race at 2, lost only turf out, banked $55K; one of 3 sibs won; that runner cashed short once on dirt as older horse; look for him in the final furlong if at all.
Jet Set Cat: Runner was 20-1 on the morning line here Friday in a $35K maiden claimer at a mile on grass as an also;One Nice Cat 1 for 16 with first-time turf runners; sire took a stakes, won 4 of 28, banked almost $165K, didn't run at 2, won once on grass; 2 for 20 dam didn't race at 2, lost thrice on grass; one of 2 sibs won; that runner, Jet to Classics, took 2 of 18, won at 2, both wins came on grass, banked nearly $50K; looking elsewhere for a top key horse.
Post Pattern: Runner was 5-1 on the morning line here Saturday in same race as rail as an also; 3 for 23 dam was 2nd twice in best juvenile results, never turfed, earned about 30 grand; one sibling lost 34 times; the other, El Tiburon, took 2 of 18, didn't run at 2 or on grass; not impossible chore.
