Beyer figs for any distance over 9f are unreliable imo.
Without starting the whole figure argument, i think 117 is too high.
My biggest fig went to Groupie Doll in the Filly Sprint by a 1pt margin over the Classic and the Damascus Stks on the Sat undercard

Damascus Stks was run in 120.86 and got a 99 BSF - two races later the F&M Sprint was run in 120.72 and got a 108 BSF

There were three 7 furlong dirt races on the card.

Race #1: Official time: 1:23.50 Trackus time: 1:23.51

Race #3: Official time: 1:20.86 Trackus Time: 1:20.86

Race #5: Official time: 1:20.72 Trackus Time: 1:20.60

I don't agree with a margin as wide as the Beyers have it separating race #3 and #5 -- sure, the margin is a tiny bit wider on Trackus and race #3 came back a little faster than projected, but that happens with stakes caliber 3yo males this time of year. Maybe you put the variant to the Trackus times and close the gap a tiny bit.

I'm sure sheets people would point out the fact that Groupie Doll won her race what they consider the hard way, with a very wide trip under 124lbs ... not to mention that she was ridden hard the whole way.

When I did the figures for this day, I didn't have those two races that far apart. I just didn't see the kind of evidence I need to see to justify it.

The evidence is in the names attached to each of the two stakes races in question.
