![]() Anyone else on the grounds can use the same vet Pletcher does. Hes a really good trainer who gets the most out of his horses. Not only does he vet proactively, hes that far ahead of the rest of these guys in the way he manages his horses, spots his horses, organizes his camp. He deserves the success, the guys fantastic at what he does.

![]() Out of curiosity, does anyone know if his full brother has done anything on the track? I believe he's a year older.

However, I know that YOU know that the horse did change nicely upon entering the stretch but changed again midstretch when he was 'shocked' by Johnny V deciding to crack him (senslessly) with the whip --- he took off very nicely, too. Horse probably figures: I'm cruising, in hand, why in the world would this idiot beat on me? Johnny V forget himself and thought he was on a Pletcher 2 year old, at Saratoga, and they had just hit the turn. |

![]() I didn't miss that part. I thought he was very impressive as well.
Typically, I'm not a fan of 'multiple' changes in the stretch (see, Jambalaya for a recent example, if memory serves me correctly) but this horse was impressive. If you watch the headon, he absolutely takes off in another gear when he's hit and changes back to lefty. Last edited by the_fat_man : 03-09-2007 at 01:40 AM. |
