Default Magna 5 - 48.00 ticket

Well, still smarting from last week, trying to catch lightning in a bottle with a $24 ticket. So close, yet so far....

But think we can still get this one with a shorty this week.

9th Lrl - 19th Running of the Private Terms 100K

1 Brass Run - Won't see the three that beat him last out; Cathal is 40% stakes wins
7 Another Vow - Step up, but class to get it done
8 Cherokee Country - Stretches to a mile; has pace to chase
9 Johnny Z - If speed holds, have to use

9th GP 46K N1X

1 Darley Entries - Have to use; should factor
5 Saratoga Saint - 3rd off; class + speed

4th SA 63K Allowance

3 I'll Prey for You - Oneil barn on fire...Gomez up...don't see much else here
4 Soul City Slew - Blistered N2X company with a triple digit beyer last out; Potts back up
5 Roi Charmant - Oneil with another likely to contest

10th GP Mdn 25k

7 Pilates - Collins 31% first off the claim; In form - going to be tough to beat in this field

SA 5th Clm 32K

5 Lady La Bell - Classiest of the bunch by shoulders

4x2x3x1x1 = 24x$2 = 48 beanolas

Godd Luck Everyone

Love the single of the 5 in the final leg.
Can't imagine playing Laurel without including the 2 or the 5.
The 4th at Santa Anita is wide open, and would not leave out Get Funky.
And I think the 8 horse in the Gulf 10th could get it done.
All in all, it looks like a much, much tougher MAgna 5 than last week.

Good luck with it Danny Boy. At least this week you'll be able to see them all. That guy you had running the TV last week sucked.

Definately tougher this week, but nothing like past weeks when they've had MSW's with 14 horse fields in the mix.

Laurel leg looks to be the toughest to get through, but can easily see past the 2 here...the 5 not so much - I'd like to use him and may add him.
The 2,3,6,8 are all seeing a mile for the first time - of the four of them, the 2 would be my second choice behind the 8.

SA 4th - didn't use GF as I typically stay away from horses coming off a layoff that got soundly trounced last start. He either simply didn't take to GP, or has some lingering soundness issues.

GP 10 - personally don't see anything on the form that would indicate the 8 as a play here, other than the connections (Appleton bred, D. Romans trained) ...Unimpressive in his first start @ MSW 38, quickly dropped to MCL 25-20 second out? Looks to me like they're trying to get out from under a bad horse while it still may have some value. . Works are marginal at best, - I'll pass...

Default Magna 5 60.00 ticket

The Laurel leg has me rethinking this bet. I'm thinking I may come off the speed and add the 5 and 10. Of course that kinda screws up the whole thread title, but what the hell....

So long Johnny Z, hello Etude and Saratoga Lullaby!

1,5,7,8,10
1,5
3,4,5
7
5

60 bux....

I'm treading lightly this week, and hope that next week's final magna 5 of the yeat is more hittable.

Leg A) 2,5,8,10
Leg B) 1,5
Leg C) 5
Leg D) 2,8
Leg E) 5

$32 for $2.

Good luck.

You think I would have listened to my own damn advice above.

If I would have stuck to my guns, I would have hit it easily.
