Default Big Brown Did Just Enough

8 Weeks From Last Race , Recovered From Bad Hoof, Don't You Think He Would Be A Little Rusty? He Beat A Weak Field, But This Was A Tune-up. Do You Really Think He Would Run One Of His Best Races. Most Of You Say This And That, And He's Done For. It's His First Race Back!!!!!!!!!!!! I Thought He Did Ok. Not Great Just Ok. However
Look Out If He Goes In Travers, He's Got His Comeback Race Under Him Now And Can Only Go Forward. All You Hnadicappers, Say He's Done For? Yeah, Right

I see our little thread generating bot is back at it again.

For the last time, tell your author that, in the English language, among others, the FIRST LETTER of each SENTENCE is UPPER CASE; not the FIRST LETTER of EACH WORD.

Get this worked out and I'm sure you can find work for your bot in the Russian ONLINE PORN business.

Dude, he's from Kentucky. Consider it a miracle he can use a computer.

I'll take action on him coming back in the Travers...Nice race today and take nothing away from the effort - galloped out like he wanted a ton more - he's the class of the 3yo's, but ain't no way he's coming back

He will not be running in the Travers. There has been some interesting facts about winnig the Haskell and then running in the Travers. The last 3 Haskell winners ('04-'06) that did this, only 1 (Roman Ruler) came back to race after, and only raced once. The other 2 were retired.

SPELL CHECK.

They'd love you on Craig's List Personals. You'd fit right in with all the 'English As A Second Language' FAKE Ads.

I think he's an embarrassed Huntington resident claiming Ashland as his home. Can't say I blame him.

is it a requirement that when big brown runs, we have to have several threads about the same race?

Eight Weeks Since Last Race, Bb Did Just Enough To Win Even Though Looked Rusty. Good Fractions And Pace By Coal Play,
This Race Was What Bb Needed. Watch Out All You Naysayers, I'll
Take Some Side Bets If He Goes In Travers. Bb Is Back

i guess sdj was afraid this wouldn't be seen in the 'sick' thread, so he had to rehash it elsewhere.

Another satisfied customer from the Fat Man charm school. It is amazing how many people voice this same sentiment. The guy could piss off his reflection.

This would be number 11 of these....that i have read anyway.

After the private message he sent me as a response to my Ky quip, I'm thinking the hills of Kentucky.

When I watched Big Brown win his allowance race to start the year, I came on here and said he was going to win the Florida Derby. I saw a horse that I thought had tremendous ability and potential. His Florida Derby win gave me even more hope that this would be the case. But a funny thing happened. He ran more races. With each succeeding race, I'm less and less impressed by this horse. His four grade one wins and the titles on those races are nice and prove one thing....that he's the unquestioned best of his generation. But this is now August and here we've still got a horse that only running figures in the mid-100's. That's all it takes to be called a really good horse these days? If mid-100's makes him really good, horses like Fabulous Strike and Commentator are first ballot hall of famers. Has the bar been dropped this low? I mean, think about it. He's not even up to the level of the best 3yo's from last year. I think he'd be behind horses like Curlin, Hard Spun, and Street Sense. His numbers aren't even better than Any Given Saturday's or Tiago's. This is really good? What is Indian Blessing then? People are giving him a pass because of the layoff but the horse I saw to open the year was much better than what I saw yesterday and that was off a longer layoff. His 1:10 and change work the other day told me he was plenty fit so I don't buy that as an excuse at all. A really good horse would be able to run figures better than the mid-100's. It wasn't so long ago when we had Smarty Jones, Afleet Alex, Funny Cide, Medaglia d'Oro, Lost in the Fog, even Dynever running figures over 110. Now we get 106 and he's really good? Literally 100's of horses out there over the past couple of years have been faster than him. I think that there is a clear line between being the best and being really good. I am very clear as to which side of that line Big Brown is on. Now, this is not to say that he couldn't jump up and put out a 115 and win huge next out and come back to win the BC Classic. But at this point, I'm inclined to believe that neither of those scenarios is very likely.

Default You have some very good points, however

Trying to compare BB to the 4yr olds and up you mentioned is apples to oranges. july the 7 month of his 3 yr old year just ended. He just missed 2 months, so really 5 mos of a 3 yr old campaign, he is still a baby. Now if he was to run next year, which he won't , we could then compare him to Curlin, commentator fabulous strike, and so forth. Everyone is comparing him to older horses who are more mature. As far as Beyers 107 after 8 wks off is not to bad, with decent fractions, and he gallop out well and Kent at the end let up
a little . With this Beyer he has room to go forward amd improve off this race
I hope they give him a chance.
If Beyers where that accurate and consistent then we would all be hitting 75% and cashing 2.60 to win.
