I have to say that for as long as I've been watching the Patriots - that home crowd they have royally sucks. Foxboro is like the library. It's still a big edge for the Pats to play there instead of on the road because the offensive machine can hear a pin drop and doesn't have to deal with crowd noise. Make no mistake - the offense runs smoother at home. On defense though - you get nothing from the crowd. Supposedly, traffic is bad and a lot of the premium seats are held by snobby rich people. This is the kind of thing that Brady can easily get away with saying - but Moss would get nailed to the cross for saying. The fans in Minny are a thousand times better. Those pathetic Vikings defense would get torched badly on the road - but at home, with all that crowd noise in the dome - teams would still move the ball with ease but turnovers and drive killing penalities happened enough to make Minny extremely tough to beat in there. |

![]() I was at the game with my two brothers. It was our first visit to Foxboro, we were stunned at how quiet that stadium is.
For a team with relatively recent success, the fans seem arrogant and expecting of a win. We sat in the Club seats and I felt like I was at the IMAX watching a game on the big screen, instead of at a live football game. That said, I am sure if the game was closer, the fans would have been louder. Brady is not exaggerating when he says it was half empty in the second half. I blame that on the traffic getting in and out. It was so brutal getting to the stadium, we started our own debate on whether to leave early or not as soon as NE ran back the second half KO for a TD. |

![]() It's amazing that when you watch a Cleveland Browns game last year - despite the fact that they've been utterly pathetic ever since they moved to Baltimore - the fans seem to be a hell of a lot more into it than the people at Foxboro ever seem to get.
