Default Fpsoxfan Travers Day Picks

Well, The Red Sox Swept a doubleheader yesterday so maybe that's a sign of good things for today. It's a great card, but a threat of rain could dampen what should be a great day. Good Luck!

Race 1 1 1/16 Turf

4-Loconia- Scored with this one on 8/2. Right Back
10- Gaelic Storm - Tough Post, ensures a good pace
2-Broadway Producer- Better distance for this one.
6-Menacing- Out of Lemon Drop Kid. Ritchey Trainee has an interesting look.

Race 2 6f

9-Cowboy Cal-Once upon a time, Pletcher was the king of these races
8-Elusive Scheme- two sharp works following last start
7-Sonic Boom- 2nd Start for this Contessa runner
3-Mythical Pegasus- Should move forward from last Spa effort

Race 3 1 1/16 Mellon Turf

1-On Fire- Adds Blinkers. 2nd Time lasix. Smooth Trip lights the board
3-Peace Mon- Chased War Monger two back. Could send to the lead today.
4-Do I have a Witness-First turf try for this Romans Trainee
7-Rocket Legs-Part of me thinks that Pletcher is going to have a great day.

Race 4 1 1/16 Inner Turf

4-El Prado Rob- Nice workout following last race on 8/9. Any return to '06
form could mean trouble for the others.
6-Wallstreet Scandal- 2nd off layoff for Contessa
1-Forget the Judge- Almost got up opening day. Loves this track.
2-Noah A.- If Kent can negotiate a great trip he can get up.

Race 5 5 1/2 f Mellon Turf

7-Enchantal-Back to sprinting after 2 shaky route tries.
2-Genuine Devotion- Nearly put this one on top. Sould take to the weeds.
11-Sophie's Salad-Not excited about the post, but has tactical speed.
8-Little Miss Martha- Cheaper than the rest but 2 for2 on the weeds

Race 6 6 1/2 Furlongs

2-Hedgefund-In a real head scratcher this one should be flying late
4-Roi Maudit-2 Bullets after last race on 7/28.
8-Salzburg-Adds lasix after last effort at Mommouth
1-The Duke of Stanco-Freshened. Should be ready for good effort.

Race 7- The Bernard Baruch Handicap. Grade II 1 1/8 Mellon Turf

2-Big Prairie- 20-1 ML 2 for 2 Saratoga. 2 for 4 at the distance. Has the
Highest Tomlinson at the distance. BOMBS AWAY.
1- Shakis (Ire)- Should be primed for a big effort
5-Outperformance-Two tough trips lately
11-Ballast-Likes the distance. Had to alter course 5 wide in last.

Race 8 - The King's Bishop Grade I 7f

1-E Z Warrior- Hate the post. This one just did not like running on the rubber
mat at Delmar. Could be a real good one.
3-Hard Spun-Takes them as far as he can
8-Most Distinguished- This horse just keeps getting better
11- King of the Roxy-I see a possible underlay. But anything close to the
way he ran in the Hutcheson will put him there.

Race 9 - The Travers Grade 1 1 1/4 Miles
4-Street Sense-Didn't Spend a lot of time on this one. It will be fun to
watch.
3-For You Reppo-Best value for underneath exacta.

2-C P West- The only one that I really think has a remote chance of pulling
off the unlikely upset

7-Sightseeing- Will be severely overbet. I'm just on board with this one.

Race 10 - BACK LATER WITH THE REST
Race 11-
Race 12
