Default Tampa Saturday 04-05-08

Pick 4

Race 9- Sophomore Stakes 85k - 7f Dirt

6 - Repenting - Yet another successful Ness claim (only a 25pt Beyer move up off the claim). A repeat of his last and he romps.
3 - Wynn a Tour - If the top choice regresses, this one is ready to pop on the turn back.
5 - Mr. Flatter - Will wing it and try to put room between he and Repenting.

Race 10 - Sprint Stakes 85k - 6.0f Dirt
One of the best and deepest 85k Stakes you will see.

4 - Lookinforthesecret - Has done nothing wrong, turf or dirt. The '08 King of Tampa.
1 - Bushmills Best - The first of a trio of Ziadie entries that are going try to team up to take down The King. Last at GP was good off the layoff and is a horse for the course.
3 - Blue Pepsi Lodge - Comes in with a four win streak. Jock choice a curiosity.
6 - Frisco Star - Undefeated former Gilchrest charge. Huge question mark with the two year layoff and coast switch.

Race 11 - OC 32k/N2X 7f Dirt

4 - Wonone - Bennett/Centeno (41%) better than Ness/Centeno (38%). Third off, sitting on a big one.
9 - Hail to the Cat - Needs to rebound off a dull effort. Beat the top choice two back. The others are running for minor awards.

Race 12 - MSW 1 Mile Turf

1 - Bold Eagle - Kinsman homebred should be on the lead throughout from the rail.
5 - He Struck It Rich - Should get a stalking trip for Kimmel.
2 - Tour Ireland - Closed with relish in his debut. HUGE jock switch after the DQ.

Chalky Ticket (bang it a few times):

3,6/4/4,9/1,2,5 = $12

Small Ticket:

3,5,6/1,3,4/4,9/1,2,5 = $54 paid $201.90

Big Ticket:

3,5,6/1,3,4,5,6,7/4,9/1,2,5,8 = $144 paid $201.90

Race 6

Anybody know this jock Mott is putting up on Silver Tree?

Neil Poznansky. Must be an excercise rider for Mott and he's throwing him a nice bone.

He has 1 win in 2 starts over the last 365 days and both of them are sprints. Curious choice as the locals would probably leap at the opportunity.

He's Canadian. Rides now at Fort Erie after some years at Woodbine.

Actually won an Eclipse Award as top apprentice back around the mid-1990's. He's nothing special but can get one around the track.
