Default KNS draws #1 in Saturday's AP 4th

Race almost wasn't used, but gets on program at the last minute... Should run at 2:28 CST (3:28 EST; 12:28 PCT)...

If so, that is a very good post for her going that distance

Default Game Plan for Saturday @ AP!!!

Okay, KnS is in the 4th race; Steve says it goes off at 2:28 . . . for those who will be in attendance @ AP, do we have a meet up spot (besides gathering for the picture after the race)? I'll be with a group of 8 and we have a couple tables in the Terrace Cafe for the day but want to meet some of fellow DT'ers and owners who will be present . . . so we need a plan!

This is really exciting; getting to watch your horse run for the first time; meeting fellow members and owners as well; spending a TC day @ AP . . . can't wait - safe travels to all and best of luck to our gal, Chuck and rest of Team Simon!!!

Not certain yet about field quality..

There had initially been 7 entered which was why they almost didn't use it and were going to push it to Sunday since they wanted as full fields as possible for a big handle day like a Triple Crown Saturday will be... They may have hustled another runner or three to get it to go, so we'll see shortly when full entries are posted.

Jose Velez is up. What happened to James Grahm?

Thornton and Emigh also don't have mounts in the race so Velez is an interesting choice.

I'll should able to know what is up with Dini's horse, Douglas aboard there says alot actually.

I don't know the answer to this, but Ramsey is riding for the other Zimmerman, is that his sister or mom or something? If so, he had to take that mount

Chuck can't get away from Maker/Razo Jr at Arlington.....

At least Catalano/Calabrese ran their whole barn the opening week, they are out of horses

And we get some Tom Archdeacon action in the 7th race....Saturday could be very good day

One positive about Velez is he aint afraid of the rail, and if KNS is willing, that is the route to victory in these 8.5 races.

Not the easiest bunch to go up against, but it should be fun.

I'll be out there, and if a meeting spot is chosen, I'll come downstairs and hang out for a bit -- will be nice to hopefully see a few familiar faces.

I dunno. Besides Light Sleeper, it looks like a pretty tame bunch. If she's at her best, I can't see her running worse than third, and if Light Sleeper isn't as good on polytrack as she is on turf, KNS is a definite win candidate.

You're right, it's also not the toughest bunch to go against either.

These 1 1/16 races are such a crapshoot most of the time here though in the way the races gets run, so who knows.

Graham's agent did the same thing to us last week and it turned out pretty well. Velez's style fits her and I know him better than the other guys that were available. I may have gone with Zimmerman but he had to ride for his mom.

Default Saturday Analysis

A third party analysis..

Quote:
Kicken N Screamin - This mare could do no better then ninth in her last when failing on the Tampa turf while competing at the level above this, and now will lower her price tag while moving to the all weather track. Her two previous appearances on the synthetic surfaces weren't much, and while her form does seem to fluctuate, if she puts it all together today she can challenge for a placing
