![]() Here's a link to just a few picutres - I am at a hotel with a balky internet connection and I cannot bear to upload anymore. I think these photos summarize the day:
http://www.kodakgallery.com/ShareLan..._photos_button 1. She was her quirky self during saddling - the saddling area is a bit confined and there is a big hedge in front of the saddling slot. She was getting a bit worked up and then decided to rear up and looked like she was lunging forward. Once she was tacked up she calmed down. 2. Dressed and all calmed down - she kept looking over to where the other horses were walking around the ring, I think she knew she was supposed to be there. The folks handling her thought it was better to keep her covered up so she stayed behind the hedge. 3. Coming down the stretch I really thought she might get a piece of it. She got tired/covered up and the finish line just did not get there fast enough. 4. Although there was not a winners' photo, I think everyone had a good time. Tony Black spent the afternoon with us. What a great guy. He is a real genuine person. He is as generous and accomodating as I have always believed just listening to him on ATR. He helped us with some great insight on the local trainers and riders - even introduced us to a trainer who won a race on today's card (which I think we all cashed a ticket on, thanks to Tony) Anyway, the 4 pictures sum up the above. I'll go through the others and post an update when I get back to a more reasonable internet service. |

![]() Thanks for the pictures. Wish I could have made the trip. I would have enjoyed meeting Tony B. He comes across the radio as a top notch person and someone who really loves the Game.
