Is there any word on why Gomez just completely stopped riding Bares Tripper? He had a great striking position at the rail turning into the stretch and just gave up on the horse - no urging, no whip...nothing. Very odd.

Just watched the replay.. He took her to the lead but then never seemed to move a muscle.. It did seem odd, maybe he could feel she was getting tired and didn't want to push her because he didnt think she'd win anyway... or maybe he didn't have his horse in the tri or super!
