Yeah, that's right, make fun of a team with a ton of important injuries to key players. You try beating the Mets when your top starter has 2 herniated discs. When your top hitter has a torn oblique, and a torn quad. When your facing a team that's only weakness is against left-handed pitching(and your best lefty reliever cuts his hand right before the series starts.)With those injuries, they probably shouldn't have made the playoffs.Fact is that your Phillies had a half game lead on them with a week to go.The Dodgers won 7 in a row,and your guys in Philly couldn't hang with them. The Dodgers have some big problems in their bullpen.Anybody watching this series knows that.I think with that pathetic middle relief, the rest of the team did awfully well to even make the post.I'll choose to take the few positives from the series.Looney looks like he can handle big league pressure. He is ready to be our 1st baseman for a long time. Most rookies wouldn't have had the nad to knock runs in,or be patient enough to get a walk to drive in a run.Kuo is going to be a very tough starter next year for us.With our luck,he will get hurt again, and we will have to pitch some of these stiffs you saw.Billingsley has tremendous stuff, and I think anybody who saw some of his pitches last night can see that.He is as inconsistent as a pitcher can be.He is a work in progress. As far as consistency goes,J.D.POOH was terrific in the last week of the season, and then choked in this series. He has been a choke most of his career.I never wanted that guy on this team, and I hope he gets traded,disabled/ infirm in the offseason.Lofton choked as well.As you point out, these are old patches that we need to discard, and replace with younger players. The problem is that veterans are more consistent (in general,)and can get you to the post.If we go all kids,we would have choked in the last week of the regular season.Fact is they didn't have the pitching for the post. When the lefty Beimel cut his hand, they sure didn't have the pitching to control the Mets.

I think I read The Brothers Karamazov in less time than this post. Thanks!
The Mets had a ton of injuries too. Excuses are for the team that loses.
Dodgers haven't won a playoff game since '88...Phillies were in the series in '93, so uhh...
we know what the L stands for in LA, Lose-Ah!

L stands for LOS(the Spanish term for "the.")Atleast the team doesn't go by the same name that we use for female horses. If it is such a loser organization, then you should have been able to beat us for the Wildcard. You were leading with a week to go.Atleast the players from our last Championship are still alive.Your last Championship was so long ago that your star pitcher from that series is dead.Nobody cares about the team that loses the World Series. We despise the memories from '74,'77'and '78.You,on the other hand, cherish your a s s kick'n in the World Series.Who is the loser? Who sells their best hitter to the highest bidder mid-season,and then loses a playoff spot by 1 game? LOL,and then you call the organization that beat you for that playoff spot..LOSER? We beat you.You lost the playoff spot to us.By definition, you are the loser in the situation. What do you have? A tumor in your head?

As if you have never called my favorite team quitters on a regular basis this year when they beat the Angels hurting your bet. Please. I was rooting for the Dodgers as much as you were. What a lackluster effort.

Sorry Scuds, I was a little harsh 2 days after your team's elimination. Shouldnt have said that as I have a liking for the Dodgers, always have and always will. I just wanted to see them do better. Pisses me off they couldnt win one single game against a Met's team that lacked 2 of their top starters. Maybe next year.

so are you making fun of McGraw? classless! when you lose a world series, it is bad, but you have won a pennant...our best hitter and future is Ryan Howard...sore loser, how old are you anyway, 14?
