Default Aqueduct Pick-6

Very challenging and difficult card. No obvious singles and has to be finessed.

Race 4- #9 Marvelous May ships in to run in this S bred maiden claimer off two open and very good field MSW's in Delaware. In her debut she caught the return grade one placed Enchanting Star and very fast Graeme Six and ran 4th. In her next start she caught another hot field and pushed the fast pace in 45:4 before tiring to run 5th. Gorham is a better stats guy out of NY state, but the drop and Johnny V and figs make her tough in here.
#12 Zip Of Fools has burned clocker and wiseguy money at a furious rate this year. Shes been shoing speed and stopping against some great and better than average winners as well. Chief Officer, Twistaway, and Megans World among them. She drops slightly today and finally gets both blinkers and lasix. May be fast enough to clear from the outside post.
#8 Miss Vanity was claimed two races back out of an open maiden claiming race at Keeneland where she ran an ok 2nd place. Has been shipped up to the Northeast and taken up residence in the barn of a VERY crafty trainer named David Geist. Her most recent workout was a sizzling gate move AROUND THE DOGS in a bullet 48:3. She also gets blinkers on and the deadly "bring your own rider in" angle. Trainers shipping in from smaller circuits will often employ this angle with a well meant shipper to insure that they get a hard try from the rider.
Using these three horses.
Race 5- #2 Whistlin is razor sharp and probably would not be eligible for this race had he not stumbled last time out in losing by a neck. Trainer Contessa can do no wrong lately and hes inside speed.
3# Seeking The Glory is one of the first run backs from the incredible inside speed biased tracks that have had us up iin arms lately. Going a mile, he rated outside and pushed the pace only to be beaten by a horse who seemingly had no chance but was one of 8 inside wire jobs that day. Cuts back in distance off the claim and is fast and a hard knocker.
#9 Baby Rusch has been burning piles of money since scoring a huge figure win back in May. Shows a "mini layoff" for a triner who is 28% in these situational layoff spots. May have corrected a slight problem.
#4 Mr Bourbon Street got a nightmare ride two races back and followed it up with a good figure win against a very bad field. But hes sharp and drawn inside and obviously likes the surface.
Using those 4
Race #6- #6 Mastermind ran an improved race last time out where he looked homefree at the top of the lane before being run over by a 2-5 shot dropping way down for Zito. He showed improved speed and ran hard the whole way and should move up in terms of fitness off that effort. Trainer switch today from Toner to the much higher persentage Violette who surprisingly is only 7% with first time acquisitions. This field may be the worst non state bred field run by 2 year olds this year at NYRA though. Should be able to stalk or wire these.
I'm singling him.
Race #7- Pick-6 and Pik-4 players will be spreading this race, and for very good reason. A super competitive wide open conditioned claimer that has shippers, layoffs, and droppers. I could go through the whole field but it would be a waste of time. I'm spreading with #'s : 2,4,5,7,8,9,10,11
Race #8- Logic tells me that no way Jones would have bought out Schwartz at such a high price on #7 Half Ours unless Pletcher had told him he was working great and doing great physically. My clocker tells me hes been ready to run for a very long time, but must have delayed running him until after he was sold at the auction. Lots of long fast works, and he did show tremendous ability way back when. But I'm always leery of singling a horse sure to be overbet off hype and connections off a huge layoff and you just never know how they will return from injury until they actually run.
Therefore I think its prudent to use one other horse and try to benefit from the possible loss of an underlaid horse.
Dutrow has two horses entered with the same rider which means that one of them must be scratched. I very much like #1A City Attraction off his big 2nd place to Hither Lane. Today would be his 3rd race in the form cycle and I will use him if Dutrow scratches Mr Umphrey. Should Dutrwo choose to scratch City Attraction, I will substitute #5 Touchdown Kid. Touchdown Kid showed high promise early in his career but when brought back this past fall he was practically eased twice before jumping up with a huge fig last time out. Often times when a horse jumps up off poor efforts, it means a physical problem was found and addressed. May be the case here.
Using 1 and 7 or 5 and 7 based on scratches.
race 9- # 5 Deb's Roof was green and glued to one of the worst rails I have ever seen on Thanksgiving Day. Bred to stretch out and Weaver is 21% in sprint to route scenarios. Rana very good 4th considerinig the circumstances to a very fast Paragallo/Outofthebox runner.
#4 Senor Baker flashed speed in the aformentioned race and went head to head with the winner briefly before tiring in his debut. Hes also bred to stretch out and showed nice works before his debut. His speed may be an advantage on this track.
Using both of them.
768 dollar ticket pending scratches and may make additional changes based on scratches. But thats what I see as of now.

There are the changes kiddies. City Attraction goes. So in the 8th race its 1,7 for me.

I like the card today as much as I have liked a card at Aqu in a while.
Eeven if the pik-6 crashes and burns(and lets face it, they almost always do) I think I should be able to play some pik-3's or exactas and make some money.
