Default Don Imus and Rutgers Women

Well, all I can say is that Don Imus and I disagree about the Rutgers Women.
I think they're quite attractive, but so are the Tenn women.
Here's what Imus said:

I dont understand why people cant say what they want without someone being offended? All the 'outrage' just gives him more free publicity.

Totally agree, Billy Packer said a comment last week and a lot people
were offended by what he said. Packer said he wasn't going to apolgize.
Good for him. This is one of the few times I agree with Packer

I just cant understand why offending people is so bad ? I mean are there Native Americans that are truly hurt because of the Washington Redskins or Cleveland Indians or Altanta Braves? And if they are hurt shouldn't they just get over it and worry about more pressing matters? I can see where Tim Hardaway went a little too far but if he really hates gay people who cares?

As was I "talking in a public sense".
I stated that "if I was a trainer..."---hypothetical (no name).
If anyone took personal offense and found the need to defend based on that,
perhaps his words speak louder than his actions, though to me, actions have always spoken louder than words.
Some might need to develop a thicker skin, whatever color one is born with.

There are people in this world who have nothing
better to do than become the political correct
police. Hey I'm Polish and I constantly hear Polish
jokes and people calling other people a stupid polak.
I just laugh because it doesn't offend me one bit.

Aw man, gotta love Billy "Allen Iverson is a 'tough monkey'" Packer.

I think he's a crazy old man who literally doesn't even get that his comments could be construed as out of line to some people.

Now, I'm sure that will offend old people...I could jump on the bandwagon with the "P.R.'s" in my area...but I won't.

But, what do I know? I just enjoy "stupid" things... (had to add that in! )

You're right, and I humbly apologize. I revise my original statement to say "He is a crazy 67-year old man."

And you don't like just stupid things -- you are here after all. Only wrestlemania qualifies, in my opinion -- but you very fairly evened the score shortly thereafter

I listen to Imus everyday and he and his staff pick on everybody.I'm jewish and i laugh at the fun they make of jews. His producer Bernard does a routine as the cardinal where he announces the winning lotto numbers amongst other things and used to where a Fed-Ex letter package as a hat.I've yet to hear any Christian organization up in arms about it.Lets face it Al Shapton thrives on other peoples misery. That's the only time you hear from him. It's no different in the Sean Bell case. When all the evidence is produced it will be proven that those policemen acted wiuthin the guidelines.I'm still waiting for Sharpton to apologize about the Tawana Brawley case where a young girl made up a story that she was raped and had fecies put on her.It happened in Wappinger Falls NY.It ruined one guys life.Sharpton and his buddy Alton Maddox never apologized for what they did.The irony is that my sister in-laws parents were principals in schools in Brooklyn and Sharpton went there and was a troublemaker then already.Hey Al you happen to remember Yankel Rosenbaum who was killed in Brooklyn by Lemerick Nelson.

Cannon,
The reason people can't say what they want is that it's offensive.
Racist statements like "nappy headed hos" and "jigaboos" don't go over with some people.
Ask Michael Richards or Mel Gibson or even Newt Gingrich if rather than apologize for hate speech, it might be better to remain silent.

So what? I'm not saying that being biggoted is ok but who cares if people are offended? I am offended when you lefties say offensive things about our country, our president, etc. But I understand that it is your right as a US citizen to express your opinion. Pigs like Pelosi and Hillary never say they are sorry.

I guess you disagree with the president of the NCAA and the president of Rutgers too.

you left off rosie o'donnell.

i'm sure everyone finds something, or things offensive. i don't care much personally for bush, but i don't like it when he's compared to hitler. i'm offended when some, such as rosie, automatically think the worst of the u.s. and it's allies, when things like iran taking those brits happens.
i think imus was in the wrong...but i certainly don't see a reason for everyone to clamor for an apology--it certainly couldn't be sincere--i mean, imus said it-why would he go back on it and think anyone really believed he was sorry? i don't believe mel gibson didn't mean those things!
demanding apologies is ridiculous, and serves no purpose.

BUSH is a bigger PIG than any of the above.Pissin' away billions n' billions to try to tame savages(and getting plenty of Americans killed or horribly burnt/ mamed.) ALL this money should be spent on keeping this scum out of our country. The guy is too damn ignorant to ever figure out that these people don't want a Democracy. They want a Theocracy. This is not a freedom loving bunch. For instance, they don't even want non-Muslims there. So,from the beginning, he has been selling a lie(that they want freedom.) He got rid of the guy he wanted to get rid of. They don't have WMD. As far as I am concerned, that's the best you can do.This bunch of scum deserves nothing more.Get out.Let these Moslems kill each other.Fool, get out.
