Default Photographers fail to get there favorite shot

Because Street Sense lugged in back to the rail when he passed Hard Spun, and was practically scraping paint at the finish...

The track photographers failed to get that photo looking up at the Derby winner crossing the wire, with the crowd and twin spires in the background.

The photo looks similar to something like this:

Darn it.....I guess I'll just have to keep that Bangbus picture as my desktop background for another year.

HRTV's Jeff Lifson (sp?) reported that no one got it.....I guess you can see it all in that picture, but it does look much different than all the ones taken in years past.

I like that photo. Shows how close SS was to the rail. Plus you are able to see Hard Spun and the crowd as well.

Jeff Lisbon gets on my nerves for some reason.

The correct punctuation is putting the period inside the quotes. "The correct spelling is their."

Serves you right for picking on someone with a vastly inferior formal education.

You aren't inferior and you know it.

What the photos do show is Borel standing up before the finish. They don't show the arm pumping etc before he crossed the finish line.

Street Sense was the best horse Saturday and deserved the win and Borel is an accomplished jock. However, when are these jocks going to learn to ride the horse across the finish line, there is plenty of time for celebrating after the race.

What if he fell off before crossing the line?

I think the rule states that the horse shall carry the full weight assigned throughout the race.

Horses have won with jocks clinging to their necks. As long as the horse is carrying them it is ok
