Default I'm quitting poker

im gonna quit playing playing poker if I dont win this tournament on Saturday.
1st place pays 15k and WSOP seat. It's high time I stop this leak in my life. If I do win im gonna take my cash and sell my WSOP seat. Then no more poker for stupid high takes like playing 50/100 limit, 20/40 NL, or playing tournaments that carry a 500 to 1k buy in. Just friendly games with friends for like 5 dollars but nothing more. Im better off putting the time back into horses and I will defintely enjoy it more, it also removes the luck factor. Just need to study and examine the races carefully with no emotion, and total objectivity.

So wish me luck or dont wish me luck...either way it works out fine. This tourny doesnt cost me a thing as I won a feeder tourny for it which qualified me for the tourny plus a cool 3k so it wasnt so bad for a $90 entry. I hope my card protector and i-pod take me to the cash

Good luck in the tourney, I hope you place. The poker bug once bit me, but not to the limits that you were playing. I just stop playing on line, it was too time consuming and I had to always stop myself from putting my fist through the screen. I made some money, but it was a phase and I am over it. I would much rather play the horses. I still play a little, neighbors house and small stakes if I am ever in Atlantic City. Plus you can watch it on TV almost 24 hours a day Good Luck! I hope to see you wereing a DT Trail Tee shirt at next years WSOP!

I haven't played in quite a while, either. There is a local casino that has small tournaments ($35 No-Rebuys and $15/$5 Rebuys) on the weekends that I played in a few months ago, and did OK, but it is nowhere near as fun as the horses....

I gave it up too... The anti-gambling legislation that shut down most of the poker sites, was actually a good thing for me. Poker Stars was killin me. But then again, so was the Canterbury poker room (I usually play $4-8 or 6-12 limit, because there's no no-limit available). I need to stick to the horsies. I play a $20 home game every Wednesday, and on some Saturday nights when me and Cajun aren't gettin' busy, but otherwise I'm all about the horses.
