Default Tracks With Best Payouts

Does anyone have any thoughts on which tracks offer the best exotic betting payouts/pools?

Thanks,
Terry

I believe the most attractive pools are the p-3 and p-4 offerings at Pimlico and Laurel with 14% takeouts.

And I don't think they publicize this enough, if they advertise this like TVG advertises Los Al's or Hollywood's, they would get about 200k of stupid money in there....

I actually didn't know this, so you're right. They should advertise something like that more.

It is not going to be a particular track with best payout. Best payouts can be defined in many ways...

lowest track takeout ( track commission )
highest percentage of longshots
large amount of $'s in exotic pools
etc

in my opinion "best payouts" would come from the track offering the largest and most competitive fields. This is especially true on big days like Ky Derby, Breeders Cup, etc.

The best thing to do is find 1 or 2 tracks you want to follow. Follow them closely ( trainers. jockeys. track biases )

Right now I'd say Belmont or Hollywood Park is the best place to bet, especially on Saturdays and more so on Belmont Day June 9

I always thought of the major circuits that Kentucky offered the best value.

Wow. The Maryland Tracks have a great rate for the P4 huh? Why is is so much lower than the rest of the country?

Prairie Meadoes 12%? Get me to Altoona, IA!

Sam Houston P3 12%?

Good stuff!

the tracks you are using are trying to bring in a certain type of player by offering those rates. I know people who only bet the pick 4 in maryland because of it.

lets see, lower the minimums for those large combination bets, lower then takeout and watch the pool explode. makes to much sense to ever happen.

I wasnt aware of the Laurel/Pimlico low Pick 4 take out at 14%.

I thought they ran the Magna 5 through Laurel/Pimlico because of the higher takeout at those tracks than SA and GP.

I might have to start following those tracks, however, doesnt Pimlico close in 2 weeks?

That chart is great. I never knew it existed. Might just change my betting habits, because at least the low takeout facilities are making an effort to not screw the fans as much...

Here in Pa. they rip you off with the take out. I also think they want to raise the take out even more.

Evangeline with its bigger fields and low end horses makes the toteboard lightup pretty frequently. some of there super and pick 4 payouts are ridiculous.
