Default Schilling just misses no hitter

Had it going for 8 2/3 innings before a single just out of reach of second baseman, got the next batter for one hit shutout, Bosox win 1-0!

The interesting part of the story....he shook off Varitek and threw the heat instead of the slider...oh well...he had shaken him off several other times in the game, so it's just one of those things...

Reminds me of that great scene in Bull Durham where "Nuke" shakes off "Crash", so Costner tells the batter which pitch is coming. Awesome movie.
