![]() I was very impressed with Zito's 2yo in the 4th today at Saratoga. He didn't want to go in the gate, backed out of the gate once loaded, and then started extremely awkwardly and was 2 lengths behind from the get-go.
Despite that, he came 4-5 wide around the turn and easily defeated a pretty good field of maidens by 2 lenghts. I thought he looked pretty strong doing it too. His dam and broodmare sire were both graded stakes winners as 2yos, and I think this one might be a factor in the 2yo stakes later this year as well. |

![]() He certainly has a huge stride.
He was slow and sluggish in his first 2yo sale work...going 22 4/5ths. But he came back with a 21 2/5 work in the second session. The time was about a 1/5th of a second faster than the NY Bred race, but yeah, that horse would figure to improve with added ground. |

His sire did his best work at 9f so perhaps when you couple that with the way he moves, he would, as you suggest, relish additional distance. |

![]() aint no way an offspring of pat copelan is going to 'relish' more distance.
i dont care if they bring vaguely noble back from the dead and breed her to him, aint gonna happen. |

She is by Copelan and out of a Dr. Fager mare. Those horses were both fast horses and good sprinters to be sure, but Copelan was able to stretch out a little (graded stakes winner at 8.5f) and Dr. Fager was of course able to stretch out a lot. If she is bred to a pretty good router (like Include) she might produce a horse that could stretch out a little. And by the way, I'm not exactly saying this horse is going to be winning the Belmont Stakes next year, but that he might improve when stretched out to 7f-8.5f, which are the distances of most of the big 2yo stakes races. |

![]() Include has to be the most underrated sire out there right now, performance vs. fee. I'm REALLY impressed with his results so far in two crops.
