Default Just for kicks - GREEN MONKEY Contest

Let's see just where everyone stands on the issue of THE GREEN MONKEY, as he debuts tomorrow at BEL in the 4th race facing 5 others.

The M/L odds in the DRF are as follows:

1 - SIXTHIRTEEN 3:1
2 - BUJAGALI 15:1
3 - ROI MAUDIT 5:2
4 - THE GREEN MONKEY 8:5
5 - HOLLA BEND 6:1
6 - SECRET DESIGN 6:1

All should include Finish Position, Lengths (either in front of the 2nd place horse or behind the winner), and a brief comment if you do so wish.

I'll go with THE GREEN MONKEY to WIN by 8 lengths (1 length for every $2MM)

Obviously, I'm no Pletcher lover, and you have to figure this horse is up against it, but how can you truly root against him?

I would hate to bet him with my own money, so I won't -- but I've got to think he's ready to go if Pletcher is finally tossing him into the fray after so many setbacks.

I still don't think his breeding is $16M worthy -- but I'll say Green Monkey takes it under a vigorous ride by a hard fought three-quarters of a length.

I'll say he finishes second, beaten a length.

If he does run, he will win, but it will be a hard race for him. More than likely he will be scratched though.
