BC Bomb Hunting
I plan to play the following horses to win, and use them in Pick 4s, Pick 3s, and dime supers.
F&M Sprint- Jazzy (20-1) She has an incredible closing kick on the grass, and ran like she likes the dirt in her only start on the surface. Juvenile Turf- Gio Ponti (8-1) He looked great in his win at Keeneland. Dirt Mile- Wanderin Boy (8-1) I keep hearing conflicting opinions on the Monmouth bias when it rains. But WB looked good at Churchill in the slop. Juvenile Fillies- A to the Croft (10-1) I don't like the outside post, but she has never run a bad race and should be moving well late. Juvenile- Globalization and Old Man Buck (both 20-1) I don't like any of the favorites, so I'm taking a chance. F&M Turf- Danzon (12-1) She almost beat the boys at Churchill, and should like soft ground. Sprint- Idiot Proof (10-1) Am I missing something? Why is he 10-1 on the ML? Mile- Host (30-1) Look, it's Pletcher with a Grade I winner at this distance and a win over this track. He needs a ton of luck, but at 30-1 I'm taking another chance. Distaff- Octave (10-1) Always liked her, and I think she'll run big. Turf- Because I don't want to play Dylan Thomas at 3-5 and because I have never been a fan of English Channel, I am going to make a very, very small win bet on Fri Guy just because he will be on the lead turning for home and it might be exciting to have a 50-1 shot on the lead late in the game. Although I readily admit that he is probably an underlay at 50-1. Classic- Street Sense (3-1) I think he's the best horse. |

Wanderin Boy's best Bris fig(120) was at a mile. I just don't think he's good enough

bigtime bomb..... Prop Me Up in the distaff if it's sloppy (3-3 ITM on slop). Might be worth a couple bucks at 50-1.

Of the picks you named, the one I like the best is Globalization in the Juvy. Although he certainly lacks the resume of more likely winners like Tale of Ekati or War Pass, he really seemed to wake up with the stretch out to 8f in his last start, and he should be a nice price.
He is bred to run all day so the extra distance and second turn could help him while it hurts others, his 5f work this weekend was sharp, and a lot of the favorites may get caught wide in the first turn. Could be a factor at a nice price. |
