Default NY Deal Inches Forward

http://www.drf.com:80/news/article/91540.html

Matt Hegarty, DRF...

Last remaing issues:

Belmont slots: NYRA/Bruno OK with them.. Silver steadfast against..

NYRA Board: Bruno wants more state appointees with greater say.. 25 years will be OK by NYRA as concession but only with less tinkering to Trustees..

Nice of these people to wait until the last minute again. Hopefully they will drag this excruciating process out until midnight the 23rd..Also nice touch by Governor "Steamroller" to ignore a billion dollar industry in his State of the Cesspool, I mean State address.

These folks should at least apologize to the horse racing industry once this excruciating ordeal is over. It would be best if they included a sum of money to accompany their apology.

LOL...the Devil is always in the details...this should really help to insure the long term success of NYRA.

"Bruno is pushing for a board that would include several appointees of the legislature and government, which would give political parties an ongoing say in NYRA's operations."
