your list is almost identical to mine at this point. i hadn't considered Liberty Bull very strongly but he does have a good look.

as of today I'm leaning towards Colonel John or Visionaire on top.

You guys seriously toss Pyro?

The Bluegrass told you that much about the horse?
Or you never liked him before?

And all of this will change a great deal with the
infamous workouts before, and Post position draw.

Big Brown will be tested in a severe manner I believe. There are a number of horses that will be running the first 7f like he might. It is said Brown can rate, off the pace or be right up with the leaders. There are a lot of horses that seem to be able to do this. I guess what I am saying is there appear to be horses that fit 3 major categories of style. Right now I dont think the race sets up great for any particular horse. And I think Browns preferred style (who can tell after so few races), is present in competitors. But who knows, he may be that much better.

So you think Pyro was going south before the Bluegrass?
Others think he is precocious(sp?) and had reached his peak as a 3yo.
But you hear they thought this after the Bluegrass. Discussed it before,
but then write about it after the Bluegrass.

Liberty Bull doesn't have the earnings.

Good list though. My list is mostly the same, but I'm not as high on Visionaire as you are.

Liberty Bull isn't going. Personally I don't see the appeal of Visionaire. His one big race was on a wet track in the fog and the horse he barely beat didn't run a step next out. He's also a Grand Slam so that doesn't bode well for 10F. Smooth Air has a good shot to hit the board but I doubt he wins.

I like Denis of Cork and Cool Coal Man as my price horses but think most of the favorites are solid. I'll probably use DofC, CCM, Pyro, Colonel John, Tale of Ekati, and Big Brown (defensively) in the PK4.

I honestly think Pletcher wouldn't be sending Cowboy Cal if it was a typical year where he had 3-4 other derby-worthy horses. But being that he and Monba are his only two, he's giving it a shot.

I like court Vision, but I think I may key him in 3rd and 4th in some tris and supers. I just don't see him having enough speed to suck up past 3rd.

Monba I do like. Plus, I believe he broke his maiden going 2 turns at Churchill so he's not just a synthetic runner.
If you toss the Fountain of Youth, where he obviously had excuses, he would be near the top of many people's list.

adriano prado had choice and took this one who had trouble in fla derby "lost shoe"

court vision closes with some intrest in last few

my first thoughts were to key big brown then toss him out......now with the goofy draw ill just mix him in the 3/4 spots my main contenders are here and i will box them

8,4,12,10,15... with big brown 20 mixed under.......

Why does he love the Church surface? He's slower than both Cool Coal Man and Anak Nakal on it.
