Default Official Derby Top 5

In Order....

1. Cowboy Cal- love the pedigree, love the running style, i think he gets a dream trip in the derby
2. Court Vision- think the wood was better then ppl think, and he should get the fast pace to run at/ at the begining of the year he was top 3 on most ppl's list's, now with 2 3rd's under his belt, everyone think's he's just slow. i am willing to give him another shot, in the key 3rd back, at a price.
3. Colonel John- I loved his last, and he has never done a thing wrong. should sit mid pack and fire big, question is the surface, and i think he will be a bit overbet.
4. War Pass- just watched the replay of mark and mike on down the stretch, and some of there comments intrest me about war pass... i think he could get the distance, and he should be tons fitter for the derby, then he was for the wood. remember he only worked once after the tampa debacle, and he got nothing out of that race. i think its easy to belive he was a short horse in the wood, and still ran very fast early, and was game late.
5. Monba- won nicely already at churchill.... and is another 1 who was top 3-5 on EVERYONES LIST coming into this year, he got destroyed in the FOY, and ppl kind of forgot about him, but he really has not done anything wrong, and came back strong yesterday.

make it the debry Top Six

Cool Coal Man.... i forgot about him

and i would like to point out you're touting 25% of the field.

love that you point out how everyone forgot monba after the foy but pyro is now a write off. makes sense.

i will be making a win bet on Cowboy Cal.
which i thought is obvious with the # 1 ranking, i did put in order on top.

5 deep to end all pick 3 and 4

do you normally finalize your derby wagers by April 13th?

have you decided on how to structure the rest of your pick 4 ticket 3 weeks out?

i mean since it's apparently ending with 5 selections, which race are you going narrow on? do you have a single for us?

not at this point, when i do i will tell you... but i can say this. those are my 5 to end it with. if any of them dont go then i use 4 and dont add another one, and i will have to structure my ticket with 5 on the back end.

BFD. Colonel John is also the only one you listed that has any shot of winning.

How do you know that Cowboy Cal will get a dream trip when you do not know what post he is breaking from? I agree with War Pass and he prob is my Derby pick right now. I guess he will get the lead and the rest have to pass him.

You know what's not weird? Is the fact that you continue to make weird posts.

they're not weird. you couldn't predict weird.

but ever since pg came back you could depend on a post after a prep was run that he liked the winner in the derby. sometimes the second place runner.

just wait for the lexington and see.

Hopefully Prussian and Elysium Fields could let the rest of the equine world know how difficult the pressure of being jcs' Derby pick is as they are among the wreckage in his path to Louisville.
