The SUNS are a ****IN JOKE: Barbosa and Diaw are INEPT
What a ****in display of ineptitude. In a third quarter highlighted by an inability to make a layup or pull rebounds, the SUNS insisted on putting the ball in the hands of Barbosa or Diaw. And, the idiot Doug Collins is going on and on about the D of the Spurs. Doug, wake the **** up, if you can't make a layup you really shouldn't be playing in the pros.
Barbosa has yet to make a layup when it counts and Diaw can't hit a jumper. Yet, every time I look up, Barbosa is driving to the hoop AND MISSING, and Diaw is hoisting up 20 footers. I used to think that Al Harrington was the worst player in the league at crunch time; but these two are just flat out CLOWNS. And the biggest DOOFUS of all is D'Antoni, who can't get his head out of ass and take these jokers out. D'Antoni needs to go. |

What the hell were they thinking including Diaw in the offense in the 4th? He completely killed their momentum with that travel. Terrible. It's like they don't want to win. The head coach, who looks like an alternate tenor in a barbershop quartet, needs to instruct Nash to carry the team late in the 4th. Especially when they're down double digits.

For those that dont watch the NBA much the Suns aren't that good but offense isnt the issue. Outside of Bell and Grant Hill they dont even bother much on the other end.

The Suns are a Much more capable team of beating San Antonio
this year. Shaq is much better on Duncan than anything last year. One HUGE problem is Nash. He is way too slow for Parker. How many frggn layups do you give Parker before you decide to switch. Nash just cant stay with Parker. San Antonio is making so may easy baskets from simple pick and roll penetration. Then Shaq and Amare have to really watch helping out because they get into foul trouble quickly. Of course they do when everyone and their mother is penetrating. So the very first line of defense, trying to stop the other team from penetrating, breaks down immediately for the Suns. This is why I like PG's that can play D. Put someone else on Parker. Dont let Nash get near Parker late in the game. Ginobili is also getting to the basket way too easily. |

But playoff time was choke time for him. Problem is that Duncan just murders Amare. Shaq got 40 put on him by Duncan while on the bench and then in foul trouble last quarter. They are not giving Shaq any help though. But I guess they dont help much on the whole anyway. The Phoenix team is very capable. I think D'Antoni is setting the right mental tone for once in that he is not giving up. And they have layed Parker down. Got him seeing double after the first game. Shaq body blocked him into the wood 2nd game. They have hit him pretty good without quite going flagrant. Ginobili, who is a great actor, got very close to sending Barbosa away (Barbosa swung at him on the ground). The league reviewed it and decided no suspension. I thought Barbosa might be gone. I am still waiting to see how the NBA will handle having the Spurs in the finals. I dont see how they cannot try and get SA out. The world wants Boston against LA. The ratings and the NBA want this. I am not a conspiracy guy, but I cant see how Stern can possibly be pleased with San Antonio in the Finals again. The NBA does not advertise good basketball, why the heck would they want a real team in the Finals. Boston supplies that with viewership, with dunks, and bravado. The Spurs dont shoot off their mouths enough, or dunk enough. Duncan can whine, but he is not going to stick his massive hand in his face and do some Soulja boy dance. He will not call Shaq an idiot or try whistling while Shaq is shooting fouls. Spurs are just not Jerry Springer enough for the masses. Too little playground also. Way too many normal people who happen to be good basketball players. |

Parker is on fire early in the game. He may have a 30 pt 15 assist night.

Howard from Orlando would be a Sr in college this year. What a joke that would be.

What I particularly enjoyed is that the PUNK, Barbosa, had a decent effort in game 3. Of course, it didn't ****in matter, as the rest of the team was sleepwalking. If the PUNK plays decently in games 1 and 2, the Suns win at least 1 in San Antonio.
But that's the way PUNKS play; they never step up when it matters and flaunt it when it doesn't. Look at Al Harrington, for example; AL NEVER makes 2 free throws in crunch time. He always gets you one; which amounts to ****. But he's really good at making 3's when it doesn't matter. Barbosa must hold the record for most years leading the league in blown layups. The Spurs did like the guy. But he knows that he yanked Ginobili down. I know Ginobili is a good flop artist, but that does not mean you just pull him to the ground and take a swing. It was replayed and it is quite apparent what he did. Pulled Ginobili down and missed with his elbow on the ground. You think these guys would know the cameras are everywhere. Hindsight is 20/20 but it looks like that first loss Phoenix took in SA had a large effect. If that 1st game had been won by the Suns... ya never know. The Suns have really cratered. Lets see if they show some guts and win game 4. So much of this game involves confidence and the ability to perservere. |
