can't help but wonder if it says anything about us as a group, three pages about john 'kerry' having an affair, but nothing posted as yet about the soviet un....er, i mean russia invading georgia.
in a nutshell, a mess over there, and even if we were willing, we are unable to do a thing about it.
should a breakaway province succeed is one thing, a nation being invaded by its larger neighbor is another.

It doesn't say anything about anyone except that one involves a US politician that may have been the next Attorney General and the other is none of the business of the US. The US needs to stop getting involved in the events of other countries. The US acts like it is better than these countries but just did the exact same thing to a country in the middle east for their natural resources. What is going on in Georgia is all about natural resources, nothing more.

btw, i meant us as in the message board-that none of us had mentioned it-not us as in the country. was not saying we should get in the midst of it, that obviously can't and won't happen.

Pretty interesting how the U.S. was quiet as a church mouse while Georgia was going into South Ossetian areas and killing people and tearing down neighborhoods but the second Russia goes into Georgia, the U.S. is quick to condemn the Russians. What Georgia was doing wasn't effecting Western oil supplies. What Russia is doing possibly could. Sounds kinda like how we didn't do anything while Saddam was killing Kurds but the second he went into Kuwait, he was a murderer that had to be stopped.

Not really, I already called the Georgians douchebags and no one responded. I think (or at least hope) that everyone realizes the Georgians are as big douchebags in this as anyone.

Some say the Russians set that up(they baited the GEORGIANS to come in) so they could invade like they have done. Who knows? It ain't like Russians tell the truth very often. So, why would you believe them so quickly? Regardless, they have no justification for going into Georgia. Georgia went into one of their own break away areas(South Ossetia.) It's an area with both ethnic Russians n' Ethnic Georgians. Obviously, each ethnic group will lie n' say the other is trying to kill them. They didn't go into Russia. Russia shouldn't have gone into Georgia, and they will get punished economically for doing it. Turks are weighing in:

Turks always think the Russians want to invade them. They think that about everybody who isn't Turk, but they really think it about the Russians.They want the Russians to stay the hell away from those pipelines carrying natural gas /crude oil etc. thru Georgia, and Eastern Turkey. Truth be known, there are no "good guys" in this area of the world. Turks, Georgians, Russians, Kurds, Serbs, etc. etc. are mainly savages that would kill each other given the chance to get away with it.
