mccain's vp
i'll go with a longshot and say he takes lieberman to blunt the bush 3rd term arguement.
downside is he offends social conservative wing again but it's not like they rush to vote for obama in november. lieberman is no risk to ever be presidential nominee on his own so the right wing can sharpen their knives for the fight in 2012 or 2016. they won't be as pissed as they would if he picked ridge. and lieberman may give him a better shot to win than either pawlenty or romney. it would be the alltime biggest political blunder,
personally i think he's a fool if he doesn't go with Romney, but i have a feeling he might not. |

If it was my pick, it would be Eric Cantor.....he's conservative, good voting record, can talk without a cue card and well....you get the picture.....

Lieberman, addressing the Republican convention. says that Barack is eloquent, but has accomplished nothing in the senate, says McCain is the right candidate for change.
can you imagine if a person who formerly ran for VP on the Republican ticket, spoke at the Democratic convention in support of the other party? it would be a story of epic proportions, but you will find nothing of note in the media about Liebermans speech. they're too busy conjuring up more imaginary Palin controversy. |
