For my Liberal friends...food for thought.
John Glenn (DEMOCRAT) said this ----- It should make us all think a little
There were 39 combat related killings in Iraq in January. In the fair city of Detroit there were 35 murders in the month of January. That's just one American city, about as deadly as the entire war-torn country of Iraq . When some claim that President Bush shouldn't have started this war, tell them the following : FDR (DEMOCRAT) led us into World War II. Germany never attacked us; Japan did. From 1941-1945, 450,000 lives were lost ... an average of 112,500 per year. Truman (DEMOCRAT) finished that war and started one in Korea . North Korea never attacked us. From 1950-1953, 55,000 lives were lost ... an average of 18,334 per year. John F. Kennedy (DEMOCRAT) started the Vietnam conflict in 1962. Vietnam never attacked us. Johnson (DEMOCRAT) turned Vietnam into a quagmire. From 1965-1975, 58,000 lives were lost ... an average of 5,800 per year. Clinton (DEMOCRAT) went to war in Bosnia without UN or French consent. Bosnia never attacked us. He was offered Osama bin Laden's head on a platter three times by Sudan and did nothing. Osama has attacked us on multiple occasions. In the years since terrorists attacked us, President Bush has liberated two countries, crushed the Taliban, crippled al-Qaida, put nuclear inspectors in Libya, Iran, and, North Korea without firing a shot, and captured a terrorist who slaughtered 300,000 of his own people. And the Democrats are complaining about how long the war is taking. It took less time to take Iraq than it took Janet Reno (DEMOCRAT) to take the Branch Davidian compound. That was a 51-day operation . We've been looking for evidence for chemical weapons in Iraq for less time than it took Hillary Clinton (DEMOCRAT) to find the Rose law firm billing records. It took less time for the 3rd Infantry Division and the Marines to destroy the Medina Republican Guard than it took Ted Kennedy to call the police after his Oldsmobile sank at Chappaquiddick. It took less time to take Iraq than it took to count the votes in Florida !!! And just a few more facts for my Liberal friends: Einstein once said: 'The definition of insanity is: "Doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results." The following stats come from an article by Glen Beck. What do the top ten cities with the highest poverty rate "all" have in common? Answer: Democrat leadership. Detroit, MI (1st on the poverty rate list) hasn't elected a Republican mayor since 1961; Buffalo, NY (2nd) hasn't elected one since 1954; Cincinnati, OH (3rd)... since 1984; Cleveland, OH, (4th)... since 1989; Miami, FL (5th) has never had a Republican Mayor; St. Louis, MO (6th).... since 1949; El Paso, TX (7th) Has never had a Republican Mayor; Milwaukee, WI (8th)... since 1908; Philadelphia, PA (9th)... since 1952; Newark, NJ (10th)... since 1907. It is the disadvantaged who habitually elect Democrats, yet are still disadvantaged ... hmmm...make you wonder? --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

That settles it. More Republican leadership is what's needed, because that's done us so much good the last eight years.

To protect my freedom at all cost and give me my S.S. check when I retire that I have been paying into since I was 16 years old. I dont want them to make sure I have a job ( cause really that is up to me). I dont want them to take my money and give it to people who are very capable of doing something to earn a living. I dont want them to buy me health insurance , if they tax me less I will get it on my own , or not.

- The price of oil is about 101 dollars a barrel. It was less then forty when Bush took office. - The dollar vs. the euro is currently 1.41. It was .85 when Bush took office. - Osama Bin Laden is living in a cave in Pakistan....as he was when Bush took office when this country was 2 trillion dollars richer. - Outside of homeland security and military spending, Bush's administration saw the greatest rise in govt spending...ever. Want more facts or just ignorant right wing propaganda? |

This is pretty high up there when it comes to insane talking points. But what do you expect - anyone who is still defending this War has to be a complete fool.
Three points are attempted to be made with this silly propaganda. * "Only" 39 US combat deaths in a month. * Democrats historically start all the wars. * Big cities overwhelmingly elect democrats as mayors and big cities tend to have high levels of poverty. I love how murders in the city of Detroit is used to compare with one month of combat deaths. It makes me nostalgic for the single greatest gaffe in VP history. Here's what Bob Dole said at the 1976 Vice President debate: "I figured it up the other day: If we added up the killed and wounded in Democrat wars in this century, it would be about 1.6 million Americans — enough to fill the city of Detroit" And you wonder how Jimmy Carter got elected in '76? |
