Default Tampa 12/31 Final Five

...Races of the day. Will be lucky to catch the last half of the program - here goes..

Race 6) 8 Juciy Point 7-5: Don't call it a comback! Towers over these, working great over the surface...Very soft spot off the layoff and obviously not the same horse as last Feb but if his morning efforts are any indication that he's ready, he wins easily.
12 Another Gulch 12-1: The Waz is en fuego ...Did nothing in his last but has reversed form rapidly in the past he was as good as these in NY not that long ago
2 Salish 3-1: Respectable works off the layoff probably needs one but will include
5 Hungarian Gent 6-1: A DT Fan Favorite certainly prefers the long 1 turn but if Juicy Point isn't up to it he can factor here.

Race 7) 7 Quistopher 3-1 : Certainly showing the best form of these, not getting it done down south recently change of scenery and Dale Bennett's care gets the top spot
8 Chimchar 12-1: Missed by a half length off a career fig last; Ice cold Velez still has to be considered an improvement on the grass
3 Leading On 8-1: Rosemary having a great start to the meet (7 for 30 last 10 days)..Know nothing of this trainer but his has some sick turf stats to boot

Race 8) 7 Repenter 9-2: Toss the poor break at Stickney, nice blow out gate work 12/21, D. Bennett + 2yo's =
9 Linus E 12-1: Lionheart/Stop the Music mare - same line as Lionheart's top 2yo Azul Leon who's banked over 200k as a 2yo. I'd feel like a dope to not include.
11 Rum Customer 15-1: nice gate blow out 12/23 over the track, draws a top flight jock

Race 9) 4 Dee's Rose 5-2: Working like a winner since her arrival - DB's stats are silly good - the gorilla in the room is his go to jock, who has won on her in the past, jumps to the 2
8 Bamboo 2-1: Joan Scott + Tampa = ...Has seen much steeper company in the recent past and is showing much love for the place in the mornings

Race 10) 2 Anniesgothebeat 6-1: Lambholm/Lerman/MCL...going to ride that donkey till the legs fall off SCR
6 Gallent Bid 5-2: Rosie on the drop
5 Sadie's Day 7-2: Dodgen 2 for 3 on the mcl drop, 45% on the cutback (small sample)...Been close in MSW company 2 back, adds blinks...may be the ticket

Edit post scratch & second guessing- adding a few more in the first leg including Onothergostokyo (whom I wanted, no room before) and 6 Silver Mountain (peer pressure)

Final ticket - lock in

Late P4: 3,5,6,7,8//7,8,9,11//2,4,8//6 = 60.00

Best of Luck

Dan...In the 7th race, I really wanted to like Leading On, but the almost 1 month gap in the works is gonna prevent me from using him. A horse that I really love is Silver Mountain. I think he is sitting on a big race tomorrow. Still lightly raced as a 3 yo, so there is some room for improvement. Coming into this 3rd off the layoff, cuting back to 1 mile, Proctor/R Allen. I will be singling this horse on a few tickets tomorrow.

Oh yeah, in this same race, I will be keying Fire Striker underneath a couple horses in an exacta.

You can't go wrong with that duo, Ronnie broke his maiden going the same route of ground last year here... It's funny, I'm not at all crazy about the cut back to a mile, and the main reason I tossed him

Doesn't seem to suit his running style as he going to get into the bit eariler than usual and these won't come back to him as readily.

Fire Striker and the ever second Greycliff Exchange are great under plays and I'm probably going to be banging my head against the wall for leaving my man Bernie Rhone off my ticket.

I think there is gonna be a few in there keeping each other company on the front end. I could be wrong, but this horse just jumps out at me.

Just to let you guys know, I live about 15 minutes from Running Aces and was out there over the weekend and met Dan. He's a nice kid who tries to help the players that come to bet there. For those of you that don't know, Running Aces is a half mile harness track and card club that opened last spring. It is about a twenty minute drive north of downtown Minneapolis on I-35. My take, from the few times I have been there, is that many of the people in there are brand new to betting on horses. From what I have seen, he tries to help the players cash a few tickes so they will return to play again. I hope the place doesn't go under in the current economy, because I am about a one hour drive from Canterbury, and in the winter if the roads are bad, that can easily stretch into two or more hours. Happy New Year and good racing to all

It's a Juicy Point/Hungarian Gent cold exacta.....

He may win, but that is not a single. If he does win, the P4 may be smaller than yesterday.

I was serious about my all button comment. Not one horse in this race would shock me hitting the wire first.

MSHCENCOM (Mush Central Command) has deployed LSMM's (Long Range, Strategic Mush Missles) to GPS coordinates consistant with that of Oldsmar, FL. It's all over, folks there's nothing that can be done now.

On a semi related note - if your using him, I absolutely must and will find a way to use my boy Bernie in the 7th. Changes to come after scratches
