Default 1/2: Aqueduct/Santa Anita (C/O's)

Carryovers in New York ($30k) and Arcadia ($143k) Friday, with the Santa Anita string looking far more playable with two potential singles. Big A races are brutally tough, at least to me, and the Late P4 may be the more prudent approach there.

Returned home Thursday from a very pleasant 9 days away. Hope you had a super Holiday Season, and are ready for a great '09...

Steve,

Welcome back and Happy New Year. I hope you had a nice and relaxing vacation.

I think Tapits Brew is # 8 not #9, probably not a big deal as he is the outside horse in the field.

Steve,

I too, am singling Victorina. Wasn't sure what to make of Bejarano jumping off FRANKEL'S Double Trouble(her Bayoaka run wasn't all too bad), whether that was the trainer or jockey's agent decision. She (V) hit major trouble in her last at the top of the stretch and would have won IMO had she not. Looking for her to take control on the turn for home and kicking away.

Best of luck to you today!

If Meatloaf was a horseplayer, he'd say "5 out of 6 aint bad". I played a $48 ticket and would have been 5/6...singled Cat Brulay...nice picking Steve.
