She had a 5 furlong workout on Jan 18th - and a 4 furlong workout just two days later on the 20th of Jan.

Barry Abrams has been reading Preston M. Burch's 'How to train a race horse' and I look for another 5 furlong move on Thursday followed by a six furlong work on Saturday.

next?

I've got my eyes on a $25k claimer on Friday at Laurel. Should I take the cash out of my 401k to buy her, or should I refinance my home and take the cash out of equity?

Lucky you that you have 25k cash in your 401k. Mine is down so low I don't even have that much in it anymore.

Look at biotechs such as DNA and CELG... and stab with a D-Tech like an LLL or NOC.

The only 25K claimer race at Laurel on Friday is a N2L race with all colts and geldings.

If you were going to dump a few C-Notes into the Derby futures pool in Vegas next weekend, which 3-5 horse would you invest in?

I'm not sure what the future book odds look like right now.

I liked Patena's race in the Lecomte a hell of a lot better than I liked the winners race ... but I'd really need to get a huge price on him.

I think Old Fashioned is the most likely Derby winner - but the time to get down on him would have been after his big fig Delaware Park allowance win.

Yes, he won the Remsen while getting the final 3 furlongs in cyclonic fast time that hasn't been seen in that race since Alydar was cutting into Believe It's lead late in a super fast Remsen - where the final time still features the stakes record some 31 years later. However, Old Fashioned had as perfect a trip as a speed horse will ever get in that race... and might have even become overrated off of that performance even though he capitalized on all that good fortune in such a big way.
