Default Down the Stretch?

Guys, I might be late on this one, but does anybody know the status of the "Down the Stretch" radio show that is supposed to be on Sirius 127 on Saturdays, 10 til noon?

I was in my car Saturday between those times and wanted to listen to it, and it wasn't on. Sirius' Horse Racing web page is quite old. Steve's info is still right of course, but I was wondering whether the DTS people are still doing their show. The web page still advertises that they will cover the 2008 Kentucky Derby.

Listened to it Saturday.....ATR has light-years in the production department. Dave Johnson thought Ventura was on the Derby Trail while speaking to Jay Priviman and Rollie Hoyt was unavailable for a interview. Sounds like the show isn't planned well, at least the part I heard.

Ohhh Yes.....ATR is WAY better, but we only get it 5 days a week...lol... DTS fills in the saturday morning void. The first half hour is filled with standard bred stuff, and then they jump to the races of the day & weekend.

I like to listen to DTS on my way to Churchill and Keeneland. Makes the 2-3 hour drive go by much better.

However, I do prefer ATR. A weekend show would be the nuts......

We have to give Steve the weekends off after broadcasting 15 hours M - F. There are a bunch of throroughbred racing shows on the weekends, although the ones I listen to are all west coast based. All are streamed live on the internet. Here's the lineup that I catch every weekend.

Saturday at 10:00AM Eastern: At the Track with Sam Spear on KNBR 680 in San Francisco and streamed at KNBR.com.

Saturday at 10:00AM Eastern: Inside Racing with Jason Levin on KLAC 570 in LA and stream lived at klac570.com.

Saturday and Sunday at 10:30 Eastern: Vegas Track talk with handicappers Professor Gordon Jones and Patrick McQuiggan on KLAV 1230 in Las Vegas and streamed at klav1230am.com.

Saturday and Sunday at 11:00AM Eastern: The Roger Stein show with So Cal trainer Roger Stein on KLAA 830 in LA and streamed live at am830klaa.com.

Saturday and Sunday at 11:05AM Eastern: Race Day Las Vegas with Ralph Siraco on KSHP 1400 in Las Vegas and streamed live at KSHP.com. This show is also on Mon - Fri at Noon Eastern.

Saturday and Sunday at Noon Eastern: Thoroughbred LA. Saturday's host is DRF's Jay Privman. Sunday's host is Santa Anita Publicity Director Mike Willman. This show immediately follows the Roger Stein show on KLAA 830 in LA and streamed live at am830klaa.com.

Saturday and Sunday at Noon Eastern: Race & Sports Radio with Felix Taverna on XPRS 1090 out of Baja California and streamed live on xxsportsradio.com.

Some of the shows overlap, so I record them to listen later. The shows are all quite different, but are well done. My favorites are Vegas Track Talk, and Thoroughbred LA's Sunday show with Mike Willman.

So XM officially has picked up at least some horse racing stuff then? Interesting. I have both receivers so I'll have to find out what channel that was. Sometimes the built in XM just works better than the Sirius hardware.
