Too bad to see her go. Was hoping that this was the year she would flourish. I guess with 7 starts under her girth, she truly has done enough...

I'm thinking that the SHEETS told Frankel that she would BOUNCE bigtime as a result of the gate scratch. What else could the man do but RETIRE her?

I mean, the man is a ****in genius. Look at what he's done with Jibboom. Clearly the mare is a ROUTER and NOT a SPRINTER. Not like she could've won the BC turf sprint or anything like that. Looking forward to Jibby routing for the rest of the year (assuming it's okay with the SHEETS, that is).

How could they not retire her? She isn't good enough to win.....and she freaks out in the gate. Every time she ran she lost value as a broodmare.

She has started throwing fits in the gate and once that happens it can be hard to get her back to the point where she will accept the gate. Horses have good memories for things that frighten them. She already has her G1 credentials, so why bother to do all that hard work to fix her mind?

I think that is the key here. She is already a two-time G1 winner somehow. I didn't see another one coming anytime soon.
