Woodbine C/O Note: $150k added
There is some confusion over the whole thing, but Woodbine announced they are adding $150,000 to its pot in its new "Ultra P6" which starts today. Then there is whatever is going to be bet into the sextet today on top of that...

I thought I understood it as they would basically guarantee a carryover of $150k, and once the pool reached this point, they would back-out. Am I wrong? I find it hard to believe they would just give away $150k.
That said, in our region, Woodbine is in zero major DRF's, a big key in getting decent handle.

I think Byk is correct, this is what I found:
June 16 2009 TORONTO, June 16 - Woodbine Entertainment Group (WEG) today announced an exciting new concept for its Pick 6 wager...a Turbo-charged Pick 6. The new Turbo-charged Pick 6 starts on Sunday, June 21, Queen's Plate Day, and will run once a week on Sundays. There will be $150,000 added to the June 21st Pick 6 carryover with a guaranteed minimum carryover for the following Sundays of $150,000. This $2 Pick 6 on Sundays will replace the current Pick 6 schedule and will continue to cover the final races on the card (Races 6 through 11 on Queen's Plate day). "Seeding our Pick 6 carryover with $150,000 should raise some eyebrows," said Sean Pinsonneault, WEG's Vice-President of Wagering Services. "This is not the standard pool guarantee you hear about but is real money that we will dump into the Pick 6 carryover, waiting for players to win. Woodbine offers one of the largest purse structures and average field sizes in North America and it is time to stop keeping it a secret." This Turbo-charged Pick 6, a bet in which horseplayers are asked to select the winners of six consecutive races, is offered only on Sundays. If the Pick 6 jackpot is won on Sunday, WEG will re-seed the pool with another $150,000.

$154,024.07 in $CDN is the amount in the pool for today's PK 6 at WO, not including what will be wagered today.
I believe on Sundays they will add $150,000 $CDN to whatever exists as a carryover.

After further review.......
the Sunday Pick 6 is seperate from the regular pick 6. A Saturday carry goes to Wednesday...The Sunday pool starts with the $150 added

A good incentive to play the pick 6 today, normally I don't go deeper than the pick 4's but this would seem to be the best bang for the buck play. Woodbine Entertainment must have money coming out of their arses to offer this.
