Default SAT - Breeders' Cup - Day Two

Breeders’s CupDay 2

R1 – Damascus 100k

#1 Coronet of a Baron – Should sit a favorable trip for Leparoux.
#5 Supreme Summit – All systems go now that he’s away from graded company.
#3 M One Rifle – Cal bred will take them all long as he can on the front end. 3rd
#7 Viscount – The cut back will be to his benefit here.

R2 – G2 BC Juvenile Turf

#7 Bridgetown – Coming in off G3 win at the distance and his style suits this turf course. 2nd
#4 Pounced – Gosden won this race last year and this colt has displayed talent. WON
#11 Interactif – Showed some serious versatility in the G3 Bourbon and is a major contender. 3rd
#2 Viscount Nelson – Top connections have a big shot with runner that should be close to the pace.

R3 – BC Turf Sprint

#9 Diamondrella (GB) – Has proven her class and I’m leaning towards that she handles this quirky downhill course.
#4 Lord Shanakill – 3yr old was knocking heads with Euro’s best this year and comes in fresh.
#3 California Flag – No secret what the game plan will be, but the question will be how long will he last? WON
#6 Cannonball – Came back after successful Euro summer vacation to score and should not be ignored. 3rd

R4 – BC Sprint

#5 Gayego - This race could hardly set up better for him; he'll draft in behind a hot, contested pace while saving ground and will be flying late. (Best Bet)
#1 Zensational – Super talented colt will have to shake off some serious runners turning for home.
#4 Crown of Thorns – Hung tough to top choice in latest and looks primed for a peak performance. 2nd
#3 Fatal Bullet – Synthetic lover will not go down without a fight.

R5 – G1 BC Juvenile

#13 Lookin At Lucky – Has the right style and jockey to overcome the tough draw. 2nd
#9 Aikenite – Impressive two turn debut at KEE and improvement is in the horizon. 3rd
#6 Pulsion – Troubled 2nd to top selection in last and gets a better post today.
#2 Piscitelli – Gets Desormeaux as he looks to uncork a late rally at a big price.

PK4 – 2 4 7 11 12 / 1 3 4 6 9 / 5 / 9 11 13 = $75

R6 – BC Mile (Turf)

#7 Ferneley (Ire) – Love the way he’s coming into this race off a very solid effort in the Woodbine Mile. Expecting a huge performance today.
#8 Zacinto (GB) – 2nd in QE II to Rip Van Winkle (Classic 7-2 ML) and is heading in the right direction.
#11 Goldikova (Ire) – Defending champ gets the outside post, but she has multiple gears to deal with anything that comes her way. WON
#1 Court Vision – Needs to be played underneath as he’ll be running throughout.

R7 – BC Dirt Mile

#1 Mastercraftsman (Ire) – Huge class advantage over this field will get him to the wire 1st.
#5 Neko Bay – Lightly raced 6yr old proved he’s ready with Allowance score last month.
#7 Pyro – Much better this year coming into this race.
#3 Midshipman – Has shown an affinity for this surface and will make his presence felt throughout. 3rd

R8 – G1 BC Turf

#2 Conduit – Simply the horse to beat after a strong campaign in Europe. Did I mention he won this event last year. Hard to look elsewhere. WON
#7 Spanish Moon – Skipped the Arc and pointed for this, but must bring “A+” game to dethrone the champ.
#1 Telling – Expect him to run up for 3rd without threatening top two.
#6 Presious Passion – Will play catch me if you can again and they will. 2nd

R9 – G1 BC Classic

#7 Gio Ponti – Optimum distance is the key and owns a win on this course along with 4 grade 1’s this year. 2nd
#10 Rip Van Winkle (Ire) – Euro import looks dominate on paper for top connections.
#12 SCR
#5 Twice Over (GB) – On a roll and keeps getting better. 3rd

PK4 – 1 4 7 8 10 11 / 1 5 / 2 / 4 5 6 7 10 12 = $72
PK6 – 5 / 9 13 / 7 8 11 / 1 5 / 2 7 / 4 5 7 10 12 = $240

R10 – G2 Oak Tree Derby

#9 Battle of Hastings – Back to his preferred firm course is the major factor. 2nd
#4 No Inflation – Makes the trip out west where speed has been doing well on the lawn. 3rd
#5 Oil Man (Ire) – Has been freshened up after a productive summer.
#7 Rendezous – No match versus elders and deserves serious consideration here.

PK4 – 1 5 / 2 7 / 4 5 6 7 10 12 / 4 9 = $48

Good Racing Luck
