Default 11/9 ATR: Shirreffs, Smitty, Haskin, Romans, Sheppard, Catalano, & more..

About to fly out of LAX home after a rather remarkable end to Cup '09. Written thoughts and big recap ATR shows to start the week with Shirreffs, Romans, Catallano, Sheppard, Gaines, and much more....

Hope everyone did well and enjoyed Cup Weekend.

Steve, You get a lot of great guests on your show but during a week like the BC if I could only have two, I would take Mike Welsch and Gary Young every time. I wouldn't even have to think about it. There are very few people in this business with a good eye. When it comes to analyzing who is training well, those guys have two of the sharpest sets of eyes in the business. I don't think people even realize how lucky they are to get to hear the insights of those guys. If a person is going to bet the BC or the Derby, they would have to be a fool if they didn't read Welsch's notes.

Kudos to you for getting those guys on your show.

Does Haskin have a deadline that means we're gonna have to wait for his thoughts or will he pop in?

He stayed yesterday to file his Classic story and then took the redeye back. He'll more or less co-host with me today for awhile.
