Default Who were you wrong about?

(... or, who completely surprised you)?

I could list so many here but I'd have to say Yawanna Twist. I mean sorry but I was floored. First Dude was a surprise but this guy? I'd have picked him to be last.

Who wants to go next?

I was wrong on everything today. What I'm right about is finding a new venue for the Preakness or at least forcing NBC to only show certain parts of Pimlico. Like a patch of grass between races.

Thought Schoolyard Dreams would have been a part of it... Had no question that Super Saver would bounce and didn't use anywhere.... Didnt fully discount Yawanna Twist but thought the Ill Derby was weak and didn't include in the super off that.

I bet Gomez often in my weekend handicapping angles.

He sure did not seem to do much successfully to put Looking At Lucky in contention in The Santa Anita Derby or The Kentucky Derby.

Bad days, and bad circumstances, I guess.

I'll factor Gomez in my wagers on a future day.

i did not like LAL. it was not a crash and burn though because of the double from the black eyed susan, where i did use him. i expected him to run the way super saver did. looking at lucky deserves my compliments because i did not like him yesterday.

I've read this type of quote too many times (not from you specifically DD, I respect your opinions ) that I have finally decided to completely ignore him...For all of his hype - He hasn't shown for anything... Of course this the type of horse that will bite me in the rear the rest of the year because he will eventually jump up, (like Aikenite) but if there was one horse in the field that was a solid bet against for me it was him.

I used Yawanna Twist, LAL, and First Dude.....did not use Jackson Bend. But SS not finishing in the money is what crushed me. I have done forgot about it, and am moving on to whats on tap for today.

I was wrong about all of the turf winners, and I usually do better on those.

jackson bend cost me thousands, I keyed Lookin At Lucky and First Dude only in trifectas and did not play Jackson Bend at all and so for making what I thought was a great longshot key of First Dude I got nothing!!

Default I hate Pimlico

I was completely wrong about Pleasant Prince, Super Saver and Lookin at Lucky

right about First Dude but only managed to cash a Place and Show bet on him.

I had a trifecta with Stupid Saver keyed 1st and First Dude keyed 2nd
I would have hit the Superfecta and Super High 5 if Pleasant Prince would have run 4th or 5th.

convinced I will never get my money back on Pleasant Prince

Super Saver, Schoolyard Dreams, and First Dude.

I lost $50 wagering on the Preakness. My husband won $273 off a $34 wager. He had the exacta and across the board bets on both L@L and First Dude.

I was wrong about wagering yesterday....It's been a while since my opinion was so bad. I had the BES/preak double a few times which cut my Saturday losses in half.

As gate opened, I told my racetrack friend of 34 years that if Lookin at Lucky beats me, he beats me. He did. I had First Dude bet to win & place. Place bet was my real "Super Saver" yesterday.
