Society's Chairman & Jimmy Simms are scratched. A very nice race for a Gr.3

I dare anyone to find a more competitive race with high quality horses. This is what racing was like in the past. Only WO is still doing it.

Not Bourbon is the interesting horse for me, he's listed at 12-1 on the ML which he won't go off at, however I am staying with my earlier opinion that he can be serious horse this year. 1st time turf try here should be interesting. |

I think Field Commission is in a perfect spot. He's able to handle the sprinters going 7F and he should be able to move before the routers in the race. After having to face the MONSTER Hollywood Hit the last two times, this should be a holiday for him. He'll just sit mid-pack and uncork that strong kick of his in the lane. Of course, he lost a couple of races on turf last year when he was best because of traffic issues. So, having a clear run is key for him.
Not Bourbon was very impressive last out. I don't know if he's going to be much value, however. Going to play FC to win (if >= 4:1) and put him OVER Jungle Wave and one other horse (TBD) in exactas. |
