SAT - Arlington late PK4 & Kentucky Downs Full Card
Arlington Park POST SCRATCHES POLY / OFF TURF
R6 – G3 Arlington Washington Futurity #7 Caleb’s Posse – Second to stakes winner in debut: came back and dominated a full field of maidens last month. 3RD #6 Wheemaway – Showed some promise at 1st asking when finishing well despite minor traffic trouble and the extra furlong will only help. #8 Impersonator – Seems to have a grinding style and should be close to the pace throughout. 4TH #3 Major Gain – 2nd to top choice in debut and gets a much better draw today. WON $8.80 R7 – OC 40k / N2X (OFF Turf 12F) – Most of these are coming back with little rest while attempting 12 furlongs with the exception of #5 Jumpin Charlie over a year layoff. #4 Lemonade Kid – Hard fought 2nd just 3 weeks ago in the G3 Stars N Stripes, anything close to that race will get it done. 4TH #8 Big Al – Distance runner capable of making some noise late. WON $14.60 #1 Triple Check – Team Block gelding has not been worse than 4th in 7 starts this year. 3RD R8 – G3 Arlington Washington Lassie #9 Wonderlandbynight – 3 for 3 with the DQ win in debut and is the only stakes winner in the field. WON $8.80 #6 Jordy Y – Beat the boys in most recent and Catalano has had plenty of success in this race. 2ND #3 Edie – Daughter of Eddington has been 4th in both career starts and I like the bullet coming into this race. 30-1 ML #11 Honey Chile – Took care of business as the favorite in debut and the 2nd place finisher came back to graduate on Thursday’s card. 4TH R9 – Clm 18k (OFF Turf 8.5F) #1 Rey Del Sol – Will probably get his preferred turf course (Good) and I like that Graham hops aboard. WON $13.20 #6 Uno Chapo – Popular claimer gets a better draw and should contend for win honors. 2ND #3 Forgive Your Sins – Hasn’t tried the lawn in over a year and is capable of taking them a long way on the front end. PK4 – 2 3 6 7 8 / 1 4 8 / 9 / 1 3 6 = $45 PAID $1421.40 FOR $1 Kentucky Downs - POST SCRATCHES TURF GOOD. Quote:
Race 3: #10 She Can Fly: post is a hinderance, but Badge Of Silver is having a good first crop. Wouldn't dismiss. Race 5: Really can't see anyone hanging with #3 Intercoastal. #1 Mano Point could be a good longshot under him. Broke in air last time and was in pretty tough @ Ellis. I'm expecting a better performance to fill out the exacta. Race 7: You are right about this one; excellent race to bet on. I do like #4 Never Retreat (running real well before her break), #3 My Baby Baby (has been competing with much tougher) and #9 Sweet Theresa (last one not that bad and Monmouth shippers have faired well at KD). My fourth horse is #7 Midway Holiday. Her effort in the Va Oaks was not too shabby; I'm expecting a good run today cutting back 1/8 from her last turf effort. Race 10: Love #4 Whitely in here. Cutting back to 6 furlongs makes me feel he will be the one standing at the end. #1 Due Date has been running against some top-notch turf sprinters and showed it his last race, beating 3 others that are entered here today. Race 13: Real hard to look past #1 Cloudy's Knight. He is just so classy and won this last year off a longer layoff. If anyone can upset it will be #8 Imponente Purse. Caramori excels at prepping horses for these longer distances, and Pompell is an underrated turf rider. With the good/yielding/soft course today, he will excel. Race 16: #2 Mountain of Joy was entered in a $30k claimer (offered for $25k) right off the bat. I expect more out of Kitten's Joy's runners; this concerned me. Thinking I can beat her with #6 Ink. He has a good first turf pedigree and has run vs. tougher. Layoff is a concern, but still looks good to me. #4 Port Morsby and #7 Papa Dave can't be dismissed, either. Hope the weather stays decent down here today. Good luck to you too!!

I don't want to start quoting the Fat Man, but I'm surprised they're OFF the Turf at Arlington today.
