He was probably heading home from an intense evening of power-bottoming.

I wonder how many sober people (with tinted windows) they bother just because they can. Wish we could vote on whether we have the right to tint our car windows the way we see fit. Don't know why we so easily gave that up to them. They really need this extra portion of corn? They have enough tools without using this excuse to bug people that pay their salaries. They should pull someone over for bad driving. An SUV that time of the morning? For tinted windows? Fishing. Why do they need the right to pull everyone with tinted windows over at 5 in the morning? How many times have they pulled people over like this that are simply on their way to make an early plane flight etc.?....... A lot......... Lets vote on whether tinted windows should be such obvious corn for these guys. Because he was drunk, this won't be popular, but you're not seeing how many people are being stopped just because they want their privacy (tinted windows,) and cops don't want them to have their privacy. I want to vote on it. Are they looking at race and sex before they decide who (driving with tinted windows) they are gunna bug at that time of day? I bet they are. I bet a 60 year old drunk White Lady (with tinted windows, and driving well) would of been able to skate on home. It's just unnecessary corn. If he was so drunk, they should of stopped him for driving wrecklessly. They might have done just that, if they'd of waited for signs of that, but they were too quick to do a tint stop on a minority male in an SUV (at 5 in the morning.) This stopping people for tinted windows is an invasion of privacy, and it's a tool (corn they don't need) that will never be used in a color-blind way.

So it's not Edwards fault, it's the cops for pulling him over because he had illegal tint on them?

That's not what he said. It's clearly Braylon's fault. But I agree with his point about tints. A lot of times it's an excuse for cops to harass people.

I was asking him because not once in the rant did he mention Edwards guilt in the situation.

I think we all know at this point cops can pull people over for any reason they want (obviously that's not right, but just the way it is). Having some illegal on the car is just more of an invitation for them. If the cop was looking to just harass someone, there is a chance that Edwards might have been profiled at 5:15 in the morning and pulled over anyway. It's unfortunate and not right, but you would think it was possible.

But no matter if the cops were fishing or not, Edwards should have used his head. These guys have everything and more and more of them just throw it all away doing stupid s.hit.

Regardless of how you feel about tints, in NY you are not allowed to have them as dark as Edwards had them allegedly. It's not like he didn't know this. Let's not pretend people get tints for privacy. They get them for vanity.

So, if your car has tints that are too dark, don't be surprised if you get pulled over. It might be a stupid law, but just because a law is stupid doesn't mean it's okay to break it.

It's obvious that he's guilty of driving drunk. We don't know how many sober people were stopped by cops using tint as an excuse to harass minorities driving in SUV's at the wrong time of the day. How many of them have to be needlessly harassed in order to fish for one guy with drugs or alcohol? I said, if they'd have been more patient, they could of probably stopped him for the right reason. They could probably of caught him driving wrecklessly, but they couldn't wait to stop a brother in an SUV at 5 in the morning.
