Default How much does it cost to get a share of a horse?

I'm interested in getting a share of a horse, think it will be a awesome experience. Plus is there monthly cost as well?

Dee Tee Stables is a one time deal - no monthly costs. I don't know if or what shares are still available. Kasept (Steve) can give you more details.

How's that Thunder Gulch colt doing?

The Thunder Gulch and Johannesburg are the most advanced so far. Both are developing forwardly and earning praise from Woody Payne for their aptitiude and eagerness.

My Pal o' Pals (the City Zip) has been slower to come along. Paul Giacopelli who of course bred Pal and half sister Loyal Shadow out of U R Theweakestlink, explains that the family has been typically slow to mature.

The Rockport Harbor colt is a very late foal, still growing, and is behind the others.

I should have new photos very soon as well...

U R Theweakestlink's foals are a little slow to come around mentally, but when the light does come on, it comes to them quickly. Hopefully this City Zip colt will follow that pattern of Loyal Shadow and be all there mentally and physically...the other 1/2 brother, Cape of Storms had all the physical tools in the world, but sometimes was his own worst enemy..

Rfan,

Sorry to be slow responding... Just sent you a PM.

Here's a summary... We have the 4 new NY bred yearlings that will be 2 year olds next year. They are Thunder Gulch, Johannesburg, City Zip and Rockport Harbor colts.

I'm still putting the paperwork together but a share in the Thunder Gulch or Rockport Harbor will be $700/each while a share to be in both the JoBurg and City Zip is $1,200. We will have a package to be in all 4 for $2,000 (1.0% in Thunder Gulch; 1.0% in Rockport Harbor; 0.5% in City Zip; 0.5% in JoBurg) which I hope will be attractive to partners..

There is no other expense beyond the buy-in. Send me an Email ("2011 NYB's") at tpkasept@yahoo.com and I'll send the info package when I wrap it up in the next few days!
